Im trying to stay detached from the whole thing. I swing between excited and worried we'll be disappointed and out of pocket again. We're not due to go until April so while that's plenty of time for things to go right, its also plenty of time for things to go wrong too lol.

My window for advance reservation to the Disneyland parks is coming up in a week or so’s time - tickets already linked. Don’t know if I’m even bothering to do it as there’s still loads of availability for every day before then.

Suppose one good thing is our expectations have gone way down. My partner and I were talking last night and when planning he first time round we had a huge list of 'must do's' that seemed so important at the time. This time round if we get there and get a family photo in front of the castle everything else is gravy

I have tried to stay positive all along but fed up with it all now. I sometimes think, change the destination but who knows if we would be allowed there.
Like so many of us, we are used to planning and knowing we will be going. I'm doing the planning but sometimes think whats the point! I am sure I will be back to positive mood very soon. I have been watching Tim Tracker and so much looks normal over there now. |

I’m a bit disappointed to hear that the Oxford vaccine isn’t an approved vaccine over there, hoping that doesn’t affect our vaccination status and affect our travel :/
It’s a shame really as when we were planning our 2020 trip we enjoyed the planning so much. Watching YouTube videos, having a double digit day party, my youngest planning ‘Disney bound’ outfits for each day. None of that this time. |

Don’t worry. The CDC definition of “fully vaccinated “ includes vaccines sanctioned by the WHO for emergency use including Oxford AZ. cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019... html#footnote
In my world, I am excited especially after BA confirming to me if my booked route for September is cancelled they will put me on a new routing to still get me there. I am hoping the rules for fully vaccinated people change so I don’t have to isolate on my way back or turn the US green. Edited at 02:16 PM. |
