I think I'm going to look at David's DVC for this due to the number of points needed. I had a chat with them, and the earliest you can submit your request is 12 months in advance, ready for the 11 month window opening. There's a $133 fee to pay when you put in the request, but that's refunded if they can't find what you want, or deducted from the rental coat if they can

You are an absolute star, thank you for this. I was thinking David’s DVC would be best for us too, we’ll be staying for 8 or 9 nights. I didn’t realise you could submit your request at the 12 months mark, this is really handy to know

I was wondering if you can submit a request for more than one resort, in order of preference, e.g. Boardwalk studio, if none available, then Beach Club Studio or can you only request one at a time?

You can only request 1 buy if that's not available they suggest alternatives that are.

Yes, you can. When you do your request, it asks for alternatives. I'm also thinking about a split stay as we'd like to do a few nights at the Beach Club too and asked them how this would work. For that you need to do 2 separate reservation requests, but put in the notes that both need to be secured or no booking. However I've got a Dibber that I'll be renting the BC points from, so I just need the BW points from David's now. I asked lots of questions abd they were very helpful 😊

You are definitely true to you Dibb name, you should be charging for all your fab advice, thank you so much

I’ve lost my planning spark a bit this year. I usually love it and think it adds to the whole holiday experience but this is the 4th attempt at organising this trip. Hopefully I’ll get my mojo back soon as things are looking more and more like normality for next year 🤞

Aw, you're welcome I took a bit of a break from the Dibb as Covid hit us hard and I just couldn't cope with it, but it's nice to be back and planning again. I've even got a new spreadsheet
