BA - moved holiday to next year but full balance still due in 2 weeks time?

Rang BA to move the booking we have for this July to next April.

Opened up the ‘manage my booking’ form to check it had all been done correctly to see that the balance is still payable at this years date.

Is that normal? I expected the balance date would also move to next year.

If things are still restricted next year instead of having a voucher for just the deposit we will now be having a voucher for thousands. 😒 not ideal!

If it was just today when you changed I would give it until tomorrow then check again and if it is still the same give them a call. Then hopefully there won't be any cause for concern.

Yes I noticed this too - I asked today when I re-booked and they assured me that the balance is due three weeks before the new travel date, for some reason their IT system isn't able to update to the new date.
