Can anyone help my daughters Esta is no longer valid as her passport ran out this year but ours don't expire until the end of January can I just re apply for her one or should I do all of us again under a group one ?

You can just apply for a new one for her, it won't affect yours at all

Just to expand on the above answer - groups are for payments only. The actual ESTAs are individual, have no bearing on each other. So only have to replace the expired one.

No, the ESTA is person specific as well as passport number specific.

Just apply for her ESTA against her new passport number

ESTA`s are all individual and you have to have one regardless of age. A month old baby would have their own ESTA,

They are linked to the individuals passport. Once the Passport expires that person needs a new ESTA .

The group option is for payment only in one go, all the ESTAs are individual.
