1 day car hire advice

We have moved on in our planning and looking into car hire now!

We would like to hire a car to drive to KSC what time can you collect and drop off a car if you hire for 1 day? Is it different from one hire service to another?

If we want to get to KSC for 8:30 in the morning would we need to hire the evening before and take it back the evening we return? Or would we need to hire for 2 days?

Are there any good car hire places near to point orlando?

Also is there anywhere to refuel the car on international drive?

How much to hire a Sat nav too please?

Thanks all

As 1 day is 24 hours then yes you can pick-up in evening and drop off next day. Quite a few rental companies have car hire in hotels around I-drive so just check the main ones depots (alamo avis hertz etc). Yes there are petrol stations on i-drive. Ones by the toll road from the space centre and further along.
WOuld advise you book it in UK as it will be cheaper than doing it locally.

OP. Very nicely answered above.

What I would say is there is so much to do at Kennedy nowadays it can be a very long day if you really want to experience everything. I know it's extra money but I would pick up in the evening and keep it for 2 days. Be a shame to have to rush back due to a rental deadline.
You could for example hire from an I Drive location, do Kennedy the next day then maybe drop it at Disney on the second day if you were heading there. Just a thought.

Just had a little look, there is an Alamo rental at Hyatt Regency Hotel (think this is pointe Orlando, but may be wrong), they are showing earliest collection time is 8am. 1 day car hire is showing as under £30. Found by typing 'Pointe Orlando+Car Hire' in google. I put in collect 8am and drop off 8am following day

Sam7 is quite right, not expensive and handy. For £67 you can get Full size for 2 days in early April which is your countdown. Or half that as sam7 says for a 1 day hire.

We booked for 2 days with Alamo though Andy at DFCH last August. Picked up and drop off was at Hyatt Regency at their National/Alamo desk

Guy there was very nice. Not pushy in any way. Didn’t try any hard sell. Did offer us a tank of fuel at a good rate (about 30c a gallon cheaper than we saw). We probably didn’t need all that fuel but it meant we didn’t have to top up so worth the fee for convenience

As ever, book before you go. Don’t go up to the desk and look for a car.

All you’ll need on the day is your licence and a credit or debit card in that name
