16 night stay with 14 day park tickets

I'm being a bit dim and can't remember from previous years..
We have 16 nights onsite with the 14 day park ticket. We are away from Disney for 6 days (not consecutive) where we will not be entering Disney Parks (going to Universal/SeaWorld etc).
We always visit a park on the very last day but I can't remember if we can go to a park on our first full day or if the 14 days for Disney parks need to be consecutive?

I hope this makes sense!

you can enter the parks on 14 distinct days over a period of 15 days (including the day of first use)

the ticket works for 15 consecutive days granted that you don't go on one of those days (14 entries)

give the exact dates (arrival, first day of park, last day of park, departure, to see if it works)
