'FastPass+ selections can be only be made for 14 days'?

Have booked a 21 day trip and just found out that FastPass+ selections can only be made for the first 14 days. Anyone know why this is the case, or have any experience of starting FP selections later on in the holiday so the first day isn't wasted?

What sort of tickets do you have? Are you staying onsite or off?

If you are staying onsite, and so booking at 60 days, you will only be able to book 14 days on the first day that FP booking is available to you. Essentially you can book a maximum of 60+14. However the remaining days can be booked one day at a time as they come in to that 74 day window.

The other possible reason for a restriction is if you have an Annual Pass, where there is a limit on the number of days you can hold FPs for.

They can only be done in bulk for the initial 14 days, but you can still book fastpasses for 15-21, however this is on a day by day basis.

So at 60-days out you will book your initial 14 days, then on a rolling basis e.g. day 15 (59 days from start), day 16 (58 days from start) etc.

It's basically the case because it is a "US" system & not designed for longer stays. Before it actually stated 14 days it said length of stay & whilst it was still 14 days, you could phone & get those extra 7 but I believe they stopped doing it.
