I went for a week over memorial weekend this year and honestly it wasn't that bad. We actually did MK on memorial day and it was quieter than when we visited any other day. Can't compare crowds to august as never been then but while it was busy and some of the bigger rides had long queues but a lot of the smaller stuff was 20-30 mins max often less if you timed it right. Overall its didn't seem that bad I've seen it worse visiting thorpe park/alton towers during peak times here.

A week does go pretty quick but at the same time I felt we got loads done as we knew we didn't have time to come back & do it later then never getting round to it anyway which seems to happen on longer trips

weather was a bit mixed some really hot days and a few hot but overcast ones with some rain though better than I had expected as the week before we went the weather was really bad with loads of rain though I've been told that is not the norm for may

I would definitely go back and just do a week again if that is all I could fit it
