Florida with 18 month old. Help!
I was meant to go in May this year when my youngest was 3 months old but we are now going in August 2019 when he will be 18 months old!
My eldest will be 11 and stepdaughter 13. We are booking a week at Cabana Bay in 2 bed suite and a week at LBV resort and spa in a 3 bed apartment for our Disney week. We are not getting a car as we are on site at universal for a week and the shuttles to parks from LBV are ok having stayed there before. But I’m very out of practice with travelling with a little one! What about taxis, do I need a car seat? How easy is it carrying a pushchair on shuttles to parks? If anyone has stayed at cabana bay do they put a travel cot in room? I just need lots of advice and tips! I’m sure I’m overcomplicating matters!

We went with out daughter who was 22 months, we didn't take a car seat and didn't have problems with her sitting on our laps in taxi's.
Also no problem with getting the stroller on the Disney buses (we stayed on site) but I would imagine that the shuttle buses have a similar size? My number 1 tip though is to make use of the baby care centers in each park, they are usually very quite and air conditioned would be great for trying to get a nap in or even just sitting down to relax and have some food in the piece and quiet. |

I would generally advise that whatever you would do over here in relation to car seats you should do in Florida. If you use a car seat in a taxi here, then use one in Florida. A car crash in the US is the same as one here.

Dont worry
I would recommend a car seat, completely agree with if you would use a car seat here you should use one there.
Cabana Bay will provide you with a cot upon asking with lots of space and a lovely comfy mattress (one of the best i have seen) however i would note the new section of the resort does not have any bath tubs if you require one for bathing the little one, if required i would make that a special request upon checking in or before and they will allocate you a room in another part of the resort..

I know this is what bothers me
About the whole taxi thing as I obviously can’t carry a car seat around so do Uber’s etc provide them if requested?

I believe Uber family cars have a car seat, but also come across some articles that say there are restrictions on age/height and they are just forward facing seats - anyone know?
