Thanks for all the responses. I don't fly until last week of August 2019 so still a few weeks to wait for the flights to open. BA flight costs always seem a bit random to me but I will def explore the fly drive option with them as it sounds like they do offer good value there.

We've only booked packages before but are diy'ing this time. We've booked BA fly drive as it was cheaper (when we booked) than flight only. The deposit only payment was a nice bonus too!
