Perhaps not just the short VA window Maria, our upcoming off peak, none sale dates dropped by £109 on VAs site. Worth monitoring as it seems the sale is on until 20th Sept. Also check Lastminute (offerring 2.2% cash back via Quidco), where we paid £687 vs VA's £808. Flights confirmed and a call to VA reserved our seating.

Thanks so much for the tip. Just booked 4 flights all with extra leg room for £1957. Really pleased as its a few hundred less than thomsons and tc wont let the kids sit in extra leg room. So thanks very much really buzzing x

Very welcome. Been monitoring/procrasting for a while, but £687 for PE was game on The lowest I've previously booked PE was June 2014, £711 for miles plus money, so we're content. As we won't be hiring a motor to drive from/to MCO it's the equiv of £600pp.

Good price, just checked my dates aren't so great but will keep checking. Was planning saving money on flights but now tempted by pe, not sure it's worth the extra tho. Although I do always book elr as dh is 6foot7. Agggh

Hiya ML... I appreciate it's personal, due to health issues we now won't travel any class but PE/biz. For us the overall bigger seat plus 21" of width, 37" of pitch is paramount from a comfort level, you're hubby will notice a big difference between economy/PE seating and comfort.

What prices are you seeing on LastMinute or Netflights?

Arrrgghh - I try and avoid these threads as I booked last week via Travel Trolley for £390 direct from Man to Mco in Jan 2018 returning end Feb 2018... but...

... this time I seem to have done well - also noticed dates for cheap flights are from 4th Jan - we leave on 2nd - but Virgins own prices are still around the £500 mark - so phew !

Just to give you my view on Premium Economy etc - I personally wouldn't pay more than £50 more than economy fare - and yes I have flown both - but I can see why people do it with extra leg room seats being charged extra at £30 per person.

I flew Thomson Premium Club in June this year (£279 each return - not extra on top of economy fare - that was the price) - and it WAS nice - but certainly wouldn't pay the extra £200 - £300 they usually want. Now being totally honest I booked on a Sunday and flew on a Weds - so a late deal as well - but Thomson seem to have these kind of prices every June - I guess because its a slow time for them just before school holidays.

So Virgin Sale this time wouldn't have suited my particular flights - did anybody get a really good deal ?

Sat 12th may from Manchester flight time 10.30am flight number
VS 75.
The price i have was a upgrade to PE .
£150 each way per person total £600 is on top of holiday package with Virgin holidays.

When booking online after picking a villa type it moved on to flights, i clicked on other flights thats when the choice of PE showed up as a upgrade for only £600, Also got a Flying Club Red Discount of 7%.
