1 day car hire

Hi

We are looking to hire a car for the day to get from Port Canaveral to Orlando International. Was hoping to book with Alamo direct but they dont appear to do one day rentals. Was looking at budget or avis but then searched on expedia to check out options and its saying i can rent from Alamo via them for the day! Does anyone know if this is possible (and if so why wouldnt Alamo do this direct?) as i dont want to book through expedia then Alamo cancel?

Any help or advice would be great

I haven't booked for the day before, but have booked 24hr rental (pick up at LBV and return to Tampa airport). I have been able to do this online.
