Cardiff Heathrow Gatwick Orlando
Flying on Thursday. We are doing the above has anyone done this journey lately? If I print the Cardiff tickets and don't do it and go straight to Gatwick. Will I still be able to do the flight to Orlando? Thanks

No, I’m afraid not. If you don’t turn up for your first flight you’ll be classed as a no show and all other flights will be cancelled.

Is this the journey with the bus from Cardiff to Heathrow, then bus to Gatwick, then the flights?

No it’s the train one. Also I have spoke to ba. My flight is at 11.30 and they said that with getting the train at 5.15 getting to Heathrow 8.45 and then I need to get to Gatwick which could take up to 1hr to 1hr 30. Book in and go through passport control. It’s not going to give me 3hrs at the airport for long haul flights. Who will be at the train station to check to see if I have taking the train? plus I need to get my own way to Gatwick

We have booked this route, leaving on Aug 1, we are getting the bus. Planning on doing the Cardiff leg as although there's a chance that BA won't be able to track the first leg, there's a chance they will and the risk of our flights being cancelled due to missing the first leg are too high.
BA on their website state you need 3 hours to travel between LHR and LGW and need to arrive at the gate 20 mins before departure. They recommend Nat Express for connections. We live about an hour from LHR and are going to park there overnight, travel to Cardiff then pick up the car and drive ourselves to LGW. |

British airport transfers have Cardiff to Gatwick in an airport service taxi for £180. It would be 3hr drive with far less risk of missing your flight... are there many of you to travel?
Alternatively get the train the night before and stay in a cheapish hotel. |

There are 8 of us going. I don’t want to miss my flight and I can’t see how the airline will know if I don’t take the train plus I have payed for all of my transfer. So I think I will book a hotel near Gatwick. I will have printed all of the tickets plus you can print the train tickets 72hr before.
