Duty free perfume- flying indirect

I’m hoping someone can reassure me! I’m planning on buying a 50ml bottle of duty free perfume either on the plane or at Manchester DF. We are stopping over in Atlanta. Am I right thinking that 50mls should no ok to get through security in hand luggage?
Thanks 😀

If you tell the staff in duty free that you’ve an indirect flight they will put it in a special sealed bag and as long as you don’t open it it’s fine for security

OP, I rarely find that duty free is cheaper than buying it in the UK from Fragrance Direct, Lloyds or the Perfume shop.

Love a challenge, tell me what you're looking for and how much you want to pay?

Hahaha! Want the new Tiffany one- can buy inflight for £57 but with £25 off using some air miles so can get for £22!

Can they do this on the flight too?

I bought some perfume last year when I was doing an indirect flight via Atlanta. They put it in a sealed bag, as stated before, and I didn't have a problem with it at security. In fact, when I picked up my case in Atlanta (for all of 1 minute), I put the perfume in it so I didn't lose it!

50ml is fine, as liquids in hand luggage require to be less than 100ml

In John Lewis for £52 (see what I mean about 'Duty free')

But the voucher wins, but surely it £32 after voucher?

Oh course yeah! In my defence I was illegally dibbing whilst at work so my sums were a little rushed 😉!
