BA Seat booking

Hi all

Has this happened to anyone else,

We fly 2 weeks today and i have been checking my BA booking daily

just checking the seat booking today and it comes up with a message that says

Unfortunatley it is not possible for you to choose a seat at this time. You can check in 24 hours before

Seat selection is just 24hrs before checkin unless ur in the BA exec club bronze or above , u can pay to book particular seats but these are not guaranteed and they can still move you

It seems to be a BA site glitch as they are not sharing the seat maps for flights at the moment. At least not for mco and tpa flights and dates i checked. Was going to do some catch-up on is my flight full but data not being provided by BA.

I have already paid to book my seats but yesterday I had trouble with the API and it wouldn't work. I had to. Phone them to do it. They must be having IT issues.
ETA: I've just been able to log onto manage my booking and view the seats

Orlando guy, if flying with children bA will allocate seats up to 7 days before but some have said theirs were allocated earlier than that, hence why i was checking

Flying with BA for first time next year with a 12 and 7 year old. Does this mean we will be allocated seats before the 24 hour mark and if so is it likely to be as a 4, 2 x 2 or a 3 and 1. First 2 configurations probably not too bad but a 3 and a 1 would be rough on whichever one of us got the kids.

i am flying with BA this Friday direct to MCO and have been able to see the seat maps as i paid for my seats at booking point.

For some reason i am getting the same message as the OP for both outbound and inbound flight.

Just checked mine for you and we don't fly for another 8 weeks but still getting the same message so must be having website issues. :

We fly in 10days and haven’t paid for seats. They haven’t been allocated yet ( we have a child under 12). We didn’t pre book last year and we didn’t get allocated till 5 days prior to the flight.
