Mobile Bringing amino acids energy and protein powder on holiday

Hi, I am wondering if I am allowed to bring my amino acid energy powder and protein powder in my suitcase or is it a problem at customs? Thanks!

I just buy a tub from Walmart. It's cheaper anyway and saves the hassle.

We travelled recently and my daughter has d ribose powder for energy. Just had it in hand luggage no problem - in original packaging.
When we travelled to NY last year they did search the case as there was so much medication and just swabbed the powder and there was no problems.

There was talk of putting a restriction on powders in hand luggage, similar to those on liquids, so it may be worth checking nearer the time you travel.

I think it would probably be easier to get it when you're out there. That is what I plan to do next year with a tub of BCAA. It will be an excuse to try a brand we don't get in the UK.

I buy over there too. Much better selection and cheaper. I usually stock up at GNC coming home. Last time I brought home 3 tubs of powder and 6 boxes of bars.

My husband often travels with protien powder in his checked luggage. Its usually decanted into tupperware so I always worry he's going to be questioned over it but he never is!

Although last time to Orlando he picked up a tub and protien bars prettt cheap over there

We don' tend to travel to America with powders however we do tend to stock up on BCAA's, Pre-Workout and Protein bars whilst over there and have no problem bringing them back into the UK.
