Mobile How much rain in September?

Hi!
We’re travelling mid/ end September and was wondering if any of you have any experience at this time of the year?
I’ve been in October and whilst I remember it raining often they were short bursts and then the sun came straight back out! Is it much the same? And how much hotter is it than October?
Thanks

Not a lot of rain to be honest, last year a hurricane appeared and whilst an experience it would not stop us going again in September. As with October, short bursts mainly in the afternoon and early evening.

4th wettest month plus risk of tropical storms. Quiet in the parks though!

We’ve been in September many times and had it variable. Some years it’s been sunny one week and cloudy the next, other years there’s only be the odd rainstorm, and one year it rained every day for a few hours for most of the 2 weeks. Last year despite being caught up in Irma we had lovely weather!

We've had both ends of the spectrum: Up over a 100F to teeming- one year we had downpour for 9 days out of 14, another we had Hurricane Jeanne. even in 2016 we had a couple of evenings where once it started, it bucketed all night but roasting during the day !

I’ve done September 3x now and I would go again . However, be prepared for daily storms in the afternoon - they happen more often than not.

We thankfully missed hurricane Matthew by a few days. But hurricane season is June - November so that’s a huge chunk of the year if you try and avoid it. For the first time we are going Nov - Dec to see Christmas

In future we will probably be back to September!

It's impossible to predict exactly. I go in September often and havent had much of a problem with weather but this year its looking like a rainy/stormy september but that could still change as weather is unpredictable.

Why do you think that it's going to be a rainy, stormy September this year?
