Last went in September 2015 and hardly had any rain really. One downpour at the end of Illuminations and driving back to our villa and a couple of evening storms when we were already home. Nothing that effected our holiday at all. Suppose it can be different every year though. Last year there was Irma!

We like the afternoon shower to cool down.

We also like to sit in the restaurant at night while a storm is happening.

Saying that *touching wood* we've been lucky up to now with hardly no rain in mid to late September.

We have had a number of good Septembers where it has been warm and sunny with the occasional afternoon downpour. We have also been there when it has hammered down just about continuously for a couple of days to the extent that you got soaked just walking to the car.

We go every September for the entire month and as I am sure you have gleamed by now it can be very different year to year (or even day to day). From memory 2016 was really hot (hotter than I would have liked) every day with virtually no rain, 2015 or 2014? it was cloudy and cool everyday but hardly any rain. Some years you could set your watch to the 16:00 storm! Below is a link to historical weather data:-

Theres a few sites out there that give the predicted extended weather forecasts. I've checked them and its currently predicted to be rainy/stormy for the period i'm there (14th - 30th).

Thanks everyone!
I think it’s even harder because everyone’s definition of ‘rainy’ is different!
I fully expect (and to be honest quite enjoy) the afternoon storms so long as they don’t last too long
I guess just reading people’s comments on how bad the rain is got me worried, but to be honest for some a 10 Min shower in ‘sunny’ Florida might be enough to classify that as a rainy day!
Whatever the weather I’m prepared with my ponchos

So, on average, September gets just over twice as much rainfall as October and the temperature in Sept is about 6 degs F (which is about 3 degs C) higher than Oct.

This has been our experience to. Every September has been lovely last one was 2015. We switched to may for several trips and had more rain then!

That's nothing to go on - those sites pretty much always have rain/storms forecast - it doesn't mean its going to pour down all day, every day.

Its just an indication of normal Florida weather i.e rain storms on most days somewhere. Given how many times you have been - would of thought you would have known that...
