You can take 2 guests with you normally, not sure if it’s just 1 at the moment.

I dare say that if meat eaters try the Mince, steak, chicken...it’s SO much better than supermarket quality and the savings on that are very apparent. Our kids love apple juice for breakfast, so a case of that each month saves us a lot alongside heavily discounted cereals.

Apologies if you already know this but to be eligible for a Costco card you need to be a member of certain professions such as teachers ,nurses etc.

You can apply for an online card which is not valid in store but the range on the web site is limited compared to the shops.

I’d echo what others have said in relation to food products - not cheap but meat and fish are superior quality. The birthday cakes are excellent value too. If you buy any of the special offer products I’m sure you’d easily cover the cost of membership but I also agree you spend far more than you intend to 😁

There are different types of memberships, trade, individual etc so not a requirement to be of a profession.

Glasgow is 1 guest per member so I suspect it's the same everywhere at the moment.

Pretty sure you’re only able to get an online membership if you aren’t one of the listed professions.
This was the case when we joined our new local one last year .
