Watch out at Baltimore aquarium - when busy they operate a timed entrance system that can really put your day out if you get a bad slot. You probably don't need to do both aquariums - Baltimore is big, and fantastic - look out for the free roaming sloth in the penthouse rainforest!

We flew on row 18 when we went to NYC last June and it was fine. However, I used our VFC miles yesterday so we're now flying UC out

No that's what I've come round to thinking, Baltimore does look the better of the two, so that's what we will do.

Yes, comfy shoes a plenty... Although my husband my argue its just another excuse for me to buy more shoes...

An update is well overdue, apologies for the delay but here we go!

I called the hotel last week to arrange a surprise for my husband's birthday (a few days after we arrive) and the operator upgrade us to the executive floor, so we now get drinks, afternoon snacks etc included our room rate which I was really pleased with. I have since been e-mailing the hotel about the things for husband and she has asked that we introduce ourselves when we check in which is a nice touch.
Now on to the plan!

I have, in the last couple of days, booked the DC Duck tour so we are doing that in the morning of the 15th which will break the day up nicely ready for the baseball game in the evening.

On Friday 17th I have reserved a table at Fogo de Chao for dinner, which judging by others reviews it looks fantastic!

I have hired a car from Hertz on the 16th so we will either go to a water park, the beach or some further away areas- we haven't yet decided yet!

Moving on to Baltimore we have moved our Urban Pirates booking to 9:30am as my SIL over there said the 11am sail would be too hot. I still need to buy tickets for the Baltimore aquarium.

In New York I have been snapping up deals left and right!

Bradley's 8th birthday is on the 23rd so as you know we have the FAO breakfast, cycling in CP. I have decided to go for a picnic and get supplies from Whole Foods, and finish the day at TOTR.

The 24th August is Arthur Ashe Kids day so we will get the subway to Flushing Meadows and spend the day there. I have purchased tickets to the concert which should be good fun.

25th August I think we will be a good day to use a groupon from last year (still valid) for Blazing Saddles so we will cycle over Brooklyn Bridge, grab slice and an ice cream and then look at the piers and hang out there with the boys. A relaxing day
