That makes at least 3 of us flying on the same day! We did look at the Intercontinental Barclay but the Metro worked out slightly better value for us with the free breakfast included.

Thanks for reading. I have read your trip report which has given us a few ideas like the big apple greeter. Just hoping we manage to secure one for our trip.

Hi thanks for sharing your plans.

You will have a super time and the weather will hopefully be better than the couple of inches we had in Feb

Have a great time. Look forward to you TR when you return.

Yes hoping the weather is nice in May. I'd love to see NYC in the snow though. Already planning a trip back when I turn 30 and we've not even been yet!

Broadway Tickets booked!

A quick update for you tonight. We finally booked our broadway tickets

After debating for weeks on what to see which look set on Jersey Boys we have ended up booking tickets to see The Cripple of Inishmaan.

It's an irish play staring Daniel Radcliffe as the lead character. It's a dark comedy about the inhabitants on an island who become excited when they learn of a Hollywood film crew's visit to make a documentary on island life. The "Cripple" Billy is desperate to be in the film and to everyone's astonishment is given his moment to shine.

It was revived on the West End last year and received very good reviews so we're excited to be seeing this. It will also be the first play either of us will have seen.

Tickets cost $108 each + booking fees so a total of $237.75.

Next Update: Big Apple Greeter

Im sure you will get one! We only found out about ours a week before I think. It's such an ingenious idea to have locals showing off their own city.

Broadway shows are just so pricey! We would have loved to see The Book of Mormon but they are over $200 each!

That's good to hear. Getting a bit panicky that we won't get one as the time gets nearer and nearer. Hopefully we get our first choice of dates as otherwise I will have to move the itinerary around too much.
