Dogs ..help needed in the garden
Hi all,
We have a staffie who fights through the garden fence with the next door's staffie x lab. I can's see what next door's dog does but ours hurls itself at the fence! And its not our fence Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have any ideas what we could do? We've put plants in front of the fence, garden pots in front of the fence -all sorts...we don't know what to do! Our dog is like a rhinoceros and ploughs through anything we try to do! Thanks lots

Staffies often prefer people to dogs - ours is the same. We solved it with a 6 ft panel fence with a wire fence in front of it so he coukdn’t see next door. We are lucky that our Staffie is very trainable, so we spent a few afternoons in the garden with him, rewarding him whenever he came away from the fence and he got the idea quite quickly.

We had this issue too, between our dig and next doors they literally chewed through the fences... after replacing them numerous times, my husband bought metal corrugated roofing, in black and we screwed that to a wooden beam all along the fence, looks really nice .. you'd never know its roofing and not fence xx and the dogs cant get through it xx last week the dog next door moved with its owners, so for once I cant wait for summer, to be able to sit out with out the dogs going at the fence xx

We bought bamboo fencing with like a hessian broom like panel and placed it over the fence panels
Reduced visibility so less hassle It’s like a strip of bamboo the pen a strip of broom and so it repeats got it from B&Q

I would double fence as such and put your own full barrier up from your side of the fence, so that the dogs can no longer see each other.
Is one of the dogs new or has it always been like this?

My girl couldn't see the dog next door, well when he smashed his head through the panel she did, but she could hear him barking and chewing at the fence... this set her off barking at the fence, vicious circle xx hope you get it sorted xx
