I used to buy the large glass jar of Roses every year for Christmas and keep it in the cupboard under the stairs. Unfailingly I used to open it and eat my favourites, then buy the boxes and top it up. No one ever seemed to notice the imbalance of flavours!

I have a sneaking suspicion that my darling wife does things like this but she denies it. Also in our house there never is any heels or outsiders in loaves of bread that we buy 😂😂😂😂😂😂

You guys have made me realise that I am not alone with my chocolate addiction, and I feel better for opening up to you all because you are like my adopted family, and I know if I set up a 'gofundme' page to pay for my next Florida holiday (we only travel club) you guys will dig deep into your pockets to support me.

I was a team leader on a night shift in a care home. Often families, especially at Christmas, would leave tins of sweets and biscuits as gifts. Day staff would literally help themselves and by the time we came on shift there were practically none left. I resorted to hiding a couple of tins right at the back of a high cupboard so we could have our share. One care home I worked in families realised what was happening and would put labels on the tins stating for day staff and another for night staff. Didn't always work though.

Oh the joys of seeing a big tin of choccies last for the staff... only to open it and find a few empty wrappers cos the day staff have scoffed the lot... even if it was marked for night staff...

My children were most upset when they opened a Chocolate Orange, only to find an Onion instead!

My husband had very carefully opened up the Chocolate Orange, ate it himself and then replaced it with an onion.

I was most impressed, son and daughter not so much.
