Tui luggage allowance, can I get more than 30kg?
I've been told that I can only get 30kg each, and that has to be split between 2 suitcases, usually we go with virgin and are used to the 2x 23 kg (also they are not too strict at check-in) so can I get more than just 30kg?
The price they charge for overweight bags is scary too, so I don't want to go over this time. |

You can pay for extra luggage allowance. They don't allow any case to weigh more than 23kg. We went with them in Aug and all had 20kg. Myself and husband paid for extra allowance so we had 25kg each. We took 4 cases and so spread the allowance between the 4 of us. 22.5kg each. You also get 10kg hand luggage with tui.

I usually pay £10 for 5kg extra for the inbound flight only. As above, no case can be over 23kg but you can split it over an extra case. They are very strict on weight at Sanford.

heroin?
In all seriousness though - maybe a luggage shipping service would be an option? Edited at 02:57 PM. |

They changed there excess baggage poloiy a few years ago. You used to be able to phone up and book as much as you want, these days it seems to be 5kg extra each only (thats how it was about 4 years ago).
Which is madness as you can still add golf clubs and odly enough a kayak, but not an extra case. We ended up using sendabag.com service, which worked out a little more expensve than adding a case the previous year before tui changed. Id try calling them, you never know, they may have changed back. It does look like theyve finally updated there website, i do recall when i was battling them to add the case the website stil quoted the old way of doing it, which was quite madening! |
