It sounds absolutely dire though. No wonder you moved out of the Airbnb (I’m not on Insta but my DDs are so if you wouldn’t mind posting your ‘handle’ or whatever the heck it’s called I will check it out, I’m feeling very very sorry for you :-( )

I remember a couple of such evil weather events in FL it does quite take the shine off things.

Onwards and upwards I hope.
The price of your recent Cosmo was... eggsellent ;-)
Thanks Karen
It’s wileycoyote100. I’m nothing if not original 😂
The weather has definitely improved. I know you can’t control but it does dampen the spirits - lol love my pun there.
Cosmo has become recent drink of choice this last week

Ha ha . Thank you. Cocktail consumption is perfect and possibility of more egg jokes is eggceedingly strong

The Brown Boxer Bar and Grille

We managed to visit two of these in the same day.
The first is next door to Speggtacular and was previously the Tap and Token.
We had popped over to see if they were showing any of the UK football

Another Cosmo was required as we were bracing ourselves to see if last nights last minute hotel booking was going to be a good one or not

They weren’t showing the football so we moved on.
Hurrah the hotel was amazing and gave us a mimosa on check in

After settling in we set off to find the other Brown Boxer to see if they were showing the football on Sunday.

It’s a sports bar and people tend to cluster at the bar or outside tables . We did go back on Sunday and it was packed !

A Moscow mule for me

We weren’t massively hungry so shared some crab cake sliders

On the way back to the hotel we had Edy gelatos

Andy went for rum and raisin and I had creme brûlée

I am the worlds most incompetent and slow ice cream eater so by the time we reached the beach it was dripping all over me

Clear Sky Cafe

Big shout out to the Dibbers who recommended this when I made my emergency plea for help Thank you. Excellent advice

It also had the added benefit of being opposite the Brown Boxer where we would later decamp to watch the Sunday premier league match

But breakfast first ...

I continue to persist with the menu pics. Is this even still a thing now for food reports ?

We both chose the Square Deal and shared the pancakes and French Toast. The little pot of chocolate whipped cinnamon flavour butter was lush

As it was Sunday lots of people were quaffing bloody Mary’s and mimosas but I had to concede it was a bit too early for me.

Lightweight

It was packed so I didn’t feel I could take interior pics. This is one empty table 😂

Oh and they have mermaid style tiles in the ladies loos. Loved these !

Ohhh Clear Sky Cafe! We loved it here! Though vaguely distressed you considered it too early for a mimosa

Crabby Bills

After the miserable mimosa fail at breakfast , I did up my game with a Cosmo at the Brown Boxer

And later a mango mule at the hotel pool

With some over priced coconut shrimp. They were good but $20

There may have been some excessive libation intake at the sports bar by the holidaymaker who wasn’t at the pool so dinner was a quiet affair at a local beach bar

I had a Titos black raspberry lemonade

Andy went for battered cod and shrimp

I had the Cajun pasta

Very nice !

Perkins, Gulf to Bay Blvd

A second try at Perkins to use our vouchers and fuel up for our final shopping trip

I went for these crispers as well

I had the pancakes to go so my plate looked a bit feeble

But they were breakfast the next day

Our bill ended up as $20 ish after deducting the vouchers
