Annual Passholder for only 1 in your family
Hi all,
Has anyone only upgraded 14 days disney world ticket to an annual pass for only 1 person in your party? Please share if it worked for you and you were happy with this arrangement? Especially if you did not make it back within 12 months for a second trip. We're a family of 4, staying off-site so have thought of whether the car parking waiver is enough to sway DH, that and discounts on our ADRs plus some merchandise we might buy. Thank you! |

I’ve not done this but I believe you can’t book fast passes at 30 days with an AP so if you are planning on all booking fast passes unfortunately you can’t.

do the maths
if you go to a waterpark, or want to go to a waterpark, you'll need to upgrade to platinum plus. The price is $1058 your 14 days tickets has a relative value of $455 (real value will be determined by the CM offering you a price for upgrade, there is no way to know in advance, if not happy with the price, try at another park, it may change) so let's say you're offered $500 to upgrade to platinum plus $25 parking for 14 days= $350 that leaves $150 to be gained in discounts, meaning you must spend over $750 to break even. the above is an example, it may not represent the true values. it just gives an idea for you to make calculations once you're there, ask how much to upgrade, and if you think you'll break even with parking and discounts, then go for it, or else forget about it. anyway you won't be able to know before you go, because only a cast member can tell you a price, and only on the day, in florida. you will indeed be able to book FP+ at 30 days, since you can't upgrade to AP before you are in FL so FP+ are not an issue here. If you do make it back for a second trip then you have to remember that an AP holder can only hold 7 days of FP+ at any one time.
So if you decide to go next year you could book the rest of your party FP+ for their length of ticket but the AP holder would only be able to hold 7 days worth (that can span any length of time but would only be bookable at 30 days out). |
