Miami or nearby

In January we are staying at WDW for a few nights before heading to Miami for a cruise. We want to drive all, or most, of the way down to Miami the afternoon before ship departure so am looking for any recommendations of hotels around Miami airport (as we will be dropping the car off here) or anywhere outside of Miami, happy to be up to an hours drive away. Not bothered about being in Miami Beach or anywhere picturesque as we will be arriving when it's dark and will only have a few hours in the morning before arriving at the port.

Can highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites, Blue Lagoon. It seems to be a regular for cruise passengers. It's free breakfast, free coffee, nice pool. I believe they do a park, stay and cruise package. It's really handy as there are plenty of places to shop and eat within walking distance. Very competitively prices, and always seems to have good trip advisor reviews. We really enjoyed it prior to driving up to Orlando.
