We have just driven along the 192 west and there is a sign opposite the Publix store near the 27 to say Aldi is coming soon. They have cleared the land and look ready to build.

According to the Polk County Property Appraiser, they purchased the plot of land by the traffic lights from IPG Holdings in September for $2m. It had a building with a blue roof on it, with helicopter flights from behind it. Haven't seen anything in the Polk Planning web site for a planning application for a replacement building though.

Drove passed today the building and helicopter all gone and the ground works have started it�s next to the traffic lights at publix. It says Aldi coming soon, if it�s anything like the one near us at home that will at least a year.

According to Google Earth, there is an Aldi opposite the Walmart on the 192, near Medeival Times.

We used this Aldi last year. Not masses of choice like Walmart but perfectly adequate and cheap and you can be out within half an hour ! I can remember buying the biggest pizza I had ever seen for $5 !
