My work make a big point of celebrating all the festivals (whatever religion) and is providing food over the next few days in the call centres... it’s one of the times I actually miss not working in the centres as I work from home now... we also haVe celebrations for things like “exotic holiday” a week or two back (holiday wear, picnic food, non alcoholic cocktails and decorations)... we have to work 6 out of 8 bank holidays and 3 out of 4 weekends so I guess it’s their way of making things better for the staff...
So nice of your neighbours though...

Nice to hear of a company that can make a stressful day lighten up. Call centres do not have the best of reputations , but I feel staff put up with a lot of downright rudeness at times. Who do you work for ?

Friends husband has just dropped off his mums Biryani and homemade made sweet treats
That’s tomorrow’s dinner sorted as there is Dahl samosa that are not cooked and potatoe and cauliflower korma and Pakora batter just need to chuck what veg we want in it
The garlic and Kema Nan was hot so,we’ve eaten that with the the chicken and apricot tagine we’d normally celebrate with them but are all protecting our families
