New build wall fixings help

I've always had issues with those screw-in wall plugs.

I now always use hollow wall anchors. They do require a setting tool, but it's well worth it.

There's a great video on YouTube that compares the strength of various types of fittings. I can't post links but if you search "How to Hang a Heavy Picture on a Plasterboard Wall" it's the first one by Charlie DIYte.

We have everything hung with the Rawl plugs that have ‘wings’ and haven’t had any issues.

Grip it plasterboard fixings. Can get them from screw fix or Amazon.

these are what I always use... so far so good... shelves, pictures, curtains, and tvs all installed, none failed to date!
