We had a really quick and easy experience there with immigration last February, less so a couple of weeks ago when we spent about an hour in the immigration hall, with lots from our flight still behind us. It is a straightforward drive to the Orlando area though.

We came in via Tampa last week. I have to say it was very easy and quick through immigration, luggage collection and picking up Avis car. Would choose this airport again.

As they add more international flights it may change in the future. At the moment they seem to try and space out the arriving London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam flights (and some south american) so only 1 flight arrives at a time, which is good as somthines only 1 immigration officer. If planes get delayed it might become a nightmare.

But it is normally much quicker.

Another bonus is the return. The security queues never seem to be long and you get through in a few mins, almost like a TSA Pre for all from a time perspective, when compared with Orlando.
