Late April vs. Early May

I know, its a really nuanced fine line between late April (post Easter) and the first week in May.

I am hoping to DIBBsource some opinions, as I am planning a graduation trip for my daughter in 2022 (at least 8-12 months removed from vaccine distribution here in the States).

Wrestling with the pros and cons of both, such as:
- Late April might be too close to Easter; 4/17 in 2022
- Early May might see the start of lovebug season and cheerleader comps
- Early May will have slightly more daylight and slightly warmer temps

Hoping to hear from DIBBers who may have had trips that spanned the two timefames and might have an opinion on either.

Wrestling with which would be better, leaning towards early May... but appreciate any and all insights!

If we can't actually go (easily) to WDW right now, may as well start planning for distant visits!

I have made several trips spanning from mid April to mid May, but always avoiding Easter.

I have not noticed any particularly difference in crowd levels between the two, nor any particular difference in the weather or light. Looking at the historical wait time for Easter 2019, it looks to be busiest the week before Easter and for a couple o days afterwards but for the following three weeks there is not much difference. This is consistent with my observations.

I do remember one year the presence of cheerleading groups was very noticeable and I think that was May, but I am not sure. I didn’t find the groups a problem, although I don’t think there were any groups staying in my resort.

The only time I have ever seen love bugs was last year when I went in September, so perhaps I missed them on my early May trips.

We went around the 25th April in 2018 for two weeks into early May and loved it. Weather was perfect, don't recall even seeing lovebugs! Crowds were very low (although 2022 may be different because of the 50th) but we've just rebooked our Feb 2021 trip for April 22nd in 2022! The only day I found really busy was 5th May (cinco de mayo) I'd actually go as far as saying it's my favourite time of year to go and if every trip I could go at that time then I would
