Question Universal's Cabana Bay Dinning

Hi all,

We have just booked a last minute trip to Cabana Bay resort.
we Have stayed here before but never bothered with the dinning much, can anyone tell me if you can get some sort of dinning plan here?

There isn’t a dining plan. Universal do do some sort of pre-paid card system but seems to break even at best and works ok if only for paying everything upfront. I’ve no idea if that’s just for the parks/citiwalk though. It’s not widely used and mainly one food reporter/trippie writer on here does use them but not many others.

Cabana Bay itself, we loved it. The food court is exactly that, a food court/canteen but better priced than most onsite places. Loads of choice and everything we had was really nice.

We got refillable mugs as well and activated then for length of stay, that included Icee’s (slushies) as well as coffee/hot chocolate and the cold drinks machines are Coke Freestyle as well.

The refillable cup, you say you can activate for your whole stay does it work out cheaper to do it for 7 days ?
I know you can get the soft drinks from the freestyle machines but where can you get the coffee/hot chocolate from ?

Regarding the activation, I can’t remember exactly but it’s something like ‘1 day, 2 day, 3 day or length of stay’ for cost. The hot drinks are in the same place as the coke freestyle machines. The Icee (slushie) machines are where the food is located though.
