For those with StaySure Insurance - its not valid for Travel to USA
Was just in the process of buying this insurance and did the online chat with an adviser and as the States is not on an approved list of countries to visit the insurance is not valid, so if bought at the moment, it will not cover you for a trip to the States.

Having just renewed our annual travel insurance with Staysure that's not my experience.
They will not (as with most companies) cover cancellation due to Covid. Similarly they will not pay out any loss if you travel against FCO advisories (which currently include the USA) but they will pay medical expenses if you fall ill with Covid over there - except as I said if you travel contrary to FCO advice. This was renewed in early June but maybe they've changed since Our insurance is valid for 12 months and will remain so and cover USA medical in future so long as the FCO advice lifted. Mick

Maybe because yours is a renewal its different, I was looking at a purchasing a policy today - I specifically asked- If I purchase your policy today, will I be covered for a trip to the states next year - she said no as the travel to the states isn't sanctioned at present

Nationwide Bank Insurance will cover all Covid expenses and cancellation as long as there was no advice from the FCO not to travel at the time of booking. Hence, I have just booked a trip to Greece as the FCO has now cleared travel to Greece. Even if FCO advice changes, we will be covered.
I doubt any policy will cover trips to USA whilst FCO advice is not to travel there. |

I have insurance with Nationwide, but as I booked for Orlando during the crisis, I don't think I will be covered.

So when we are allowed to travel there, if because I booked my holiday at the time of the ban, will I ever get cover?

So Taking Nationwide out of the equation
If when travel to the States is allowed - will I be able to get insurance with anyone as I booked it during the Crisis ?

So, it maybe an option to cancel the holiday and rebook it when the restrictions are lifted?
