Excellent news for peeps living in the north and it'll be good for Virgin to have competition.

Would this be the reason that they cancelled our Dublin - MCO April flights to free up aircraft

Good to see confirmation of this as it was discussed in this thread in November

Really good for VS to have competition.

Brilliant news as I usually fly from Manchester. Great for us Northerners.

This is great news, we would always want to fly from Manchester so gives us another option.

Great. Hopefully cheaper flights. Now if they could sort out that we could have the immigration checks this side of the pond, that would be great.

If only it were so simple - it would be such a great benefit for travellers but as it has been talked about since the year dot there isn't a chance for the foreseeable future.

I've heard good reviews about AL so I'm interested. I think alot of people won't forget how VA handled their refunds, but what would sway me is if AL had an earlier flight (I always want to get to MCO as early as possible. I dont mind waking up earlier, I'm already up &#129315

As for US pre clearance at MAN, they halted all work to T2 in March due to COVID and are currently running the airport from 1 terminal. Work to T2 was to be completed in July. Once they are able to get back up and running I believe they plan on testing the upgrades before offically opening (there's currently no timeline for this) by all accounts this is still on the cards and might be another reason why AL will fly from MAN to MCO
