Hurtigruten Antarctica Buenos Aires
Hi
Me and my husband are looking at going on a expedition cruise. My question is - do I need to book extra days in Buenos Aires prior to boarding the ship to explore. We will probably never come to this part of the world again. Has anyone done this? If so what did you do and how safe did you feel? Plus would you recommend it? TIA Vik |

Hi,
I went with my son to Argentina in 2019. I fell in love with the country. I did a trip report which is in my signature. I would certainly have a few days in BA - we felt safe when there.

We’ve been looking at the same cruises. Which one are you planning. We’d like to do it 2023. We’ve done an Arctic cruise and loved it.

16nt Expedition but staying in Buenos Aires for 3/4 nights before. I’ve never been as excited about any trip like I am about this. My husband retires next year so I thought I would pick him a trip that I would go on with him Lockdown is giving me something to put my mind to and plan, plus something amazing to look forward to. |

Definitely worth spending a few days in BA, we really enjoyed seeing the sights of the city and exploring the delta from Tigre. We didn’t have any concerns regarding personal safety - just take the usual precautions as a tourist in a big city.
Our day on the Falkland Islands was probably one of the best ports of call we’ve been to - an amazing experience. Edited at 09:31 AM. |
