The number I called was 020 8222 1000 but didn't get anywhere just kept telling me it wouldn't affect me (I'll be the judge of that) but if I was unhappy on check in they'd move me. Good luck and let me know how you get on

This is the building we have requested as it looked like it was some distant from the building. I am sure it will not impact on our holiday we will soon find out.

Thank you, I managed to get through to them, they didn't have much information and they offered me Port Orleans for an extra cost of £500. I really don't want to pay more , just looking for reassurance that it won't affect me ... but looking at the pictures of the new building it is quite a major project ! It would have been nice if it was mentioned when we booked a few months ago, Port Orleans was a similar price then :angry:

I rung last night. The CM said the construction was next to the casitas near the convention centre, so put a request in for us to be near the Cabanas - I questioned this as it looks like it is the Cabanas 9B that is currently blocked off and being demolished - but she was absolutely adamant it wasnt - Going to have to call again, they also wanted £500 to move

Hmm it looked like the bulldozers had demolished part of cabanas 9b already and it looked like a war zone in that area! Great so if we know cabanas is affected and they reckon casitas is affected it only leaves rancheros unaffected and how many people can stay in that area!
Thomas Cook still haven't mentioned anything to us and no email from Disney so technically we dont know this is going on!

Currently on hold to guest care - CM this morning said they do not have the construction schedule for October but 9B is definitely down and the south side of casitas will be at some point because thats where they are building the 15 storey tower

She wanted £500 to move us to POFQ but still keep QSDP $200 Giftcard etc. but I said I won't be paying so currently on hold to guest care - Got nothing to lose so why not
