$24 a night parking charges now for staying at a Disney hotel!

We were considering a stay at a Disney resort for our March trip but I have just read there is now a nightly parking charge of $24! Is this at all of the Disney hotels? Completely put us off staying now.

There is now parking charges at Disney hotels but if you book through a UK provider (some, not all so best to check) then you don’t have to pay until after December next year.

According to the FAQs on the Disney site it says "Overnight resort parking charges are applicable to Disney Resort Hotel Guests who book on or after 21st March 2018. However, Guests residing in the UK or Ireland will not be charged for overnight resort parking until 31st December 2019".

Link HERE question 2, doesn't mention any companies on there.

It’s not great but it’s very hard to find any other hotel in the US without some sort of additional fee

No but some people have reported using booking sites who say you need to pay parking.

If you book direct with Disney UK you won't be charged.

If you book via an aggregator (Expedia, Booking.com etc) you may well be charged as its possible they book through US inventory. It should say in the details on the aggregator site whether the charge will be applied or not.

I think when it comes into play for UK guests there will be more using the disney buses i think. If you did have a car its $24 at the hotel then $22 for disney parks.ouch! A big expense for one day if you decide to drive to disney. This will keep more people onsite now and get a car after disney

You’d only pay the hotel charge... parking in the parks is free for hotel guests.
