VH said they'd request 1 x king for them. I've since done a bit of research and there aren't any king beds in this section. I know, I know, so should have researched beforehand 🤦🏻

If VH release some standard rooms, any recommendations what block I should be requesting? Please.
King rooms are a bookable category so unlikely just a request would get you one.

Aruba and Jamaica are standard rooms, imo both about the same for distance to pools and food court.

Turns out there is another standard, without sleeper, I could have downgraded to which would have saved another £100. Might ask if I can upgrade to preferred and see if I can get them to apply the £50 amendment I already paid for messing us about with room availability...
Unfortunately you can only book what room categories are available at that time. Disney swap and change room availability all the time. As standard rooms weren’t showing available to book when you changed the booking I doubt they will refund the admin fee. No harm in trying though.

The difference between double and queen beds is 6 in width and 5 in length. It isn't really very much.

I've just looked today and standard rooms aren't available anymore Has anyone else found the same thing happen to them today?

The Pirate rooms are too far away, we want standard as I'm looking to book for my parents so they will be close to Riviera where we'll be. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything comes up again.

Checked for our dates in August/sept and it’s back to pirate rooms again. Hopefully the standard rooms will pop up again.

So strange. Wonder why that's happened in literally 24 hours! They can't have sold the rooms in that time

When I managed to downgrade before the rooms weren't up for long, might have even been the 1 day.

Makes me wonder if it's a glitch and I was lucky with timing...

They do this quite often, take the cheaper rooms off sale, to encourage people to book the more expensive harder to fill rooms.
