POR or All Star Music?
Which of these resorts would you Dibbers recommend? Needs to be either of these two because my niece may be joining us and theyre the only resorts that will put 5 in a room in our price range. There's me, DH, DD (12) and DS (8) and then possibly niece (22). Which resort is closer to the parks, better for buses etc? Going to hold out for any discounts/DDP but want to be able to make a decision beforehand so we can book on the day! Eeeek excited face!

stayed at both - both perfectly good - POR better, more beautiful and nearer DTD and most of the parks . Bus services good from both.
If your decision is based on finances then you'll find ASM cheaper. However, if you can get the free QSDP then POR would definately be worth going for... that's why we go for moderates now ! but if the free dining wasn't on offer wouldn't hesitate to go back to ASM or similar |

Hi we had the same decision to make we had booked all star music and then decided to upgrade to POR as for the few hundred extra we would get the QSDP so well worth it imo. Havnt been before but must say POR does look stunning and thats why we booked it

Thanks everyone! Ironically, POR works out a couple of hundred cheaper because to get ASM we need to book a family suite. So, I think decision made is it just QSDP at moderate? Anyone know how much to upgrade to DDP? x

I've stayed at both.
Not a problem with either, por was a bit quieter, but obviously could vary at different times. Not a great difference in the actual hotel rooms. Values are more in your face Disney, moderates more subtle Disney touches. Nothing wrong either way, just depends what you're after. Values don't get free dining offers though,so that may make your decision for you. |

It is usually free QSDP at moderates, when the offer is on, but at the latter part of this years deal it was also free QSDP at deluxe s, instead of the normal DDP.
I think it's about £15 per person per day to upgrade from QSDP to DDP |

According to OF, it's £17pppd this year. Still for us, £238 for 2 weeks worth of dining, especially at Signatures is a BARGAIN. It's at least $10 for a burger, never mind for owt else
