Hilton Gatwick and parking
I usually book the Premier Inn at Crawley the night before and use APH parking whenever we fly from Gatwick but we are going for 3 weeks next year and I think the maximum they will keep car for is 15 nights.
So, after getting a heads up on here about using Tescos vouchers for the Hilton at Gatwick, I was wondering where you can park the car for the duration of the holiday and also a rough idea of the cost for the parking? (the hotel will technically be 'free'). Is the Hilton the one that is just a very short walk to the terminal? How far in advance can I book it if we are using clubcard vouchers? Thanks in advance, sorry for all the questions! |

Sorry not a clue about the vouchers but yes Hilton is south terminal & you just walk the tunnel into the airport. ref parking we stay for 3 wks , booking 2 wks incl parking & room for night & then pay parking for last week upon our return, as I remember it used to cost approx £35/40. You park then catch bus to terminal .
Maybe I should start shopping at Tesco!

What car park is it? Is it not right at the hotel? Can you only book the two weeks parking at a time? I would have thought that they would have charged a fortune if it was left over it's time?
I shop in Asda usually (hate Tescos) but have accrued enough vouchers through tesco savings account and buying petrol there to be able to swap for vouchers for hotel I reckon! |

Yes hate tesco too! Parents shop there all the time so maybe could use theirs to book & give them the equivalent in cash? Wonder if they could book it for me?
Anyway, parking is long stay south, you go to Hilton, get a voucher then get bus to pkg about 5mins away but on site if airport, then bus back to terminal south. Or you can organise valet pkg for £20 extra. Pkg chgs are only incl up to 16days max bizarrely & just chkd new prices as we haven't been for so long, it's now £13 per extra day so approx £78 for the 3 wks in total on top of your hotel pkg price. You pay the £78 Parking fee at gate as leaving car park. All seems a lot more complicated than it is honest . Edited at 12:41 PM. |
