$17 Self Park or $20 Valet @ Resort?

Am I correct in thinking it's only $3 more to valet park at one of the Disney resort hotels than self park in the normal car parks? Surely the $3 extra would be worth it as the Floridian/Contemporary/Poly are all SO much closer to MK? Is this OK to do?

I would hazzard a guess you could only park in the hotel car parks if you have a reservation there but I could be wrong

Anyone can valet park, you don't need to have a reservation. Don't forget to add the tip to the cost of parking

That's true if you're self parking but valet is a different matter.

Even if you tip $2 it's only $5 more than self=parking, and you're literally 5 mins from the gates if at the Contemp' (very handy when the parks are v.busy).

We pay to valet park at Contemporary have early dinner at Cafe Mickey and then got to MK for evening and there's less of a queue back to resorts on monorail or you can walk back to Cotemporary. it isn't necessary if you're leaving at any other time as transport is so efficient, but definitely good if you're leaving with the hordes from MK after fireworks

Glad i've seen this too, as I was wondering about this. Can you walk to MK from the Contemporary or do you still need to get on the monorail?

You can walk - it takes about 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk (or how tired your feet are)
