Villas & Eating
Just wondered whether people that stayed in a villa cooked whilst they were away. We are staying in a Villa next yr and i don't plan on doing much cooking apart from maybe the odd breakfast, will want to eat out.
What about everyone else?

When we are on holiday I refuse to cook - its my holiday just as much as everybodyelses. I do enough cooking at home so to have somebody else to do it makes it more of a holiday.

We cook near enough every breakfast and evening meal. Think we had evening meal out or takeaway about 4 times ! I find that after eating lunch out I just can't cope with one more takeaway meal!

Definitely don't cook! There's so many wonderful places to eat that I just couldn't bring myself to do it; a major part of our holiday is the food!

I cook quite alot in a villa. Only simple stuff (pasta etc - not three course dinners) it suits us as sometimes we can't be bothered to go out and it's relaxing to spend some time at 'home' around the pool or chillng out.

We did cook most night but OH loves to cook so it was his responsibilty!
We stayed at the villa most evenings because we had a 6 month baby but next time we go out there I expect we will be out lots more in the evening! Better budget more spending money! |

No, I never cook while away, I'm on holiday the only thing I do is breakfast occasionally and that would be cereal and toast or bagels

We have breakfast, but un-cooked, doughnuts, muffins, cereal etc.
I often make up sandwiches etc.to take a picnic to the parks. We do eat out mostly, but somedays it's nice just to go "home" and chill out, on these days I make pasta, salad, or warm up a pizza. We have also had really nice whole cooked chicken from the deli counter. And most restaurants do carry-out of the full menu, so you can pick that up on your way home, or have stuff delivered when you're feeling really lazy! So not much real cooking, but it's nice to have the option. It's also great to have a huge fridge/freezer box for all your drinks, ice cream etc! We tend to eat out quite early with the kids, so when we go back to the villa it's nice to have some booze in for the evening! |
