thanks Chair , so I'm guessing this link advice will need to change following yesterday's news? (if you click through it still talks about travel to the EU after 31st Jan 2020, and how leaving with no deal affects UK passport-holders visiting EU countries) -

so we're all okay, where our UK passports are valid for length of stay in Europe, until 31st December 2020 now?

That is my understanding of the situation. However I cavat that with do everything at your own risk and don't rely on what I write! Lets put it this way, if this change was to happen in less than two week I think the Government and Passport Office would be talking a bit louder about it.
