Goodbye to the bubble - Virgin

My indirect flights to and from Orlando in April have been changed for the legs between JFK and Heathrow. Previously booked on the A330, now moved to the A350. Happy its a newer plane with better IFE (last one was awful!), however very unhappy about the PE product now being downgraded to nearer economy.

I am booked through VHols and have contacted them to see what can be done about it as product is downgraded from when I booked.

Will see what they say, and will let you all know! Plus, if I stay on those planes will do a review come April as well.

Flew on the A333 last Feb to NYC in PE and it was lush, the new PE seats on the A350 don't even come close to the old ones. Like someone said might as well go Norwegian PE and have all that legroom and save a pretty penny.

Were in the bubble for Feb trip then not planning a return until Aug 2021 so will watch what happens with reviews for the new planes.

We're quite gutted as we're finally at the point with airmiles that we can go for PE seats... typical it changes just as we're financially able to! haha.

Hiya kanickie, if it weren't for the A330-200 with solid sided seats and 17.5" of PE width we'd continue flying with VA until they began the down refits, unfortunately as Man is our airport of choice and those four crappy 200 series are on Man routes it's a risk we're unwilling to take. I believe those wearing size 6 or 8 may be the only ones who can, sort of, be comfy in those seats!
