I live in Birmingham and we brought our house in 2008 at the start of the recession. It was a reprocessed house and the people before us paid £103500 we paid the estate agents £88.500 for it. It’s Listed on Zoopia £153000 but we had a extension build for a dinning room/games room downstairs and upstairs made my daughters room bigger and added a extra room for my son.

Been a homeowner/mortgage payer for 8 months now.
Live on the South Coast
New Build - 3 bed - detached with driveway for 2 cars, en-suite in master, utility room and for a new build a large south facing garden, with no build in front of us due to it being a floodplain. We are also a "private road" of 10 houses and no through road at the very end of the estate.
£316,950 paid currently estimated at £328,000!

Absolute madness!
