We always take insect bite cream in case Dd is eaten! And a black sheet to cover the suitcases when travelling ( we're doing a road trip too)

We take a lot of the things already mentioned. Pop up laundry basket, spare hangers, a collapsible dish for keys, sunglasses and magic bands etc. A fabric shoe storage thingy which hangs in the wardrobe to save having shoes all over the place, a travel kettle and Scottish Blend teabags
We also take a couple of plug in nightlights (the kind you would have in a child’s room that are a similar size to the socket) They are handy at night if the kids need to find their way to the loo without waking everyone by putting lights on. We take a phone holder and car charger for using a mobile phone in the car as we use the Here sat nav app. We also take a key ring with our mobile number written on it which I attach to our hire car keys in case they get lost. Last year I took a Tupperware tub with shortbread and Scottish treats for a friend. The tub stoped the biscuits from getting broken and on the way over and on the way home it saved the mugs I bought from getting broken. We also take Ariel liquid tab thingies for washing clothes as our kids have sensitive skin and I’ve not found an American alternative that doesn’t make them itch. Mobile phone charging cases which are handy for giving you phone battery a boost while in the parks. Most of these things we take because of top tips I’ve read on the dibb over the years. Oh! I nearly forgot packing cubes, the toppest of top tips. They have transformed packing and unpacking for us, everyone has their own colour and when we arrive we just stick them in the drawers and that’s us unpacked. No more spending ages unpacking cases when we could be in the parks |

I don't think that anyone has mentioned digital luggage scales.
You'll be surprised at how much B&BW stuff weighs after your third trip of the holidays. My concerns when the pile is growing on one of the bedroom beds are eased when I do a check weigh - Joan's always convinced that they don't weigh that much though. Mick

We take an extension cable so as we can charge 4 things from one adapter. We also take the power bank for charging on the go.

Are you staying in a hotel or a villa,? As I think it depends where your staying as to what you should bring
We stay at the Universal Cabana bay beach resort, we use the bag for in house dry cleaning for our laundry so don't need to take a laundry bag. The rooms there also have USB ports so that saves on adapters. Also use hotels shampoo and conditioner. We take water proof cases for phones, first aid things like plasters, germoline, insect bite cream. Small packets of wet wipes, mini squashes, paracetamol, rennies. pack a case within a case or a holdall. As we had to buy one first time we went with the extra stuff we had coming home |
