BT Phone Fault - My Experience Was Great

I quite often see BT gets stick over faults and time taken to rectify. This is my experience.

Made a call on Sunday (to Virgin Atlantic!) Finished the call and 10 mins later no dial tone when I went to make another call.

Reported it via the BT website and got a Ref Number.

Straight away had the option to pick a time for an Engineer to call. I picked today between 8.00am and 1.00pm.

Today at 7.00am I had a text giving me the Engineers name and the fact he was working on the fault.
This was followed by 2 other texts giving me updates.
At 8.45am he turned up and tested the line. He confirmed the fault was in the box located in the next Street and would come back.

At 10.05 he rings me and tells me he has fixed the fault, wont be coming back as his boots are grubby and was I OK with that.

Excellent job.

That's great. I had a similar experience with Virgin Media when my phone line did the same. Booked an engineers appointment online for a couple of days later when I knew we'd be in. About 2 hours later, there's a knock on the door and an engineer who'd been working on the next street saw the booking so stopped off to take a look and had sorted it! Very happy
