Visa security £600 phone calls

Automated calls from “visa security” questioning £600 debits on your card.

Don’t press one, just disconnect.

Interestingly, I use BT 14258 to blink number, surprise, surprise, three calls of same automated nonsense, but each from different numbers supposedly. So had to block three tines now. Wonder what the next call will come from?

My Mum has had quite a few but she now knows just to hang up. I did contact her Bank about first one incase genuine but he confirmed they would text my mobile number first if any security concerns (joint a/c) and even if phoned landline they never tell you the amount involved.

I've had a couple of these now too - at first I thought it was my credit card as I had just paid Disney a deposit for next year's holidays - I was paying 3 deposits for 3 rooms and my card did decline one of the transactions at first and then it went through - however about 5 minutes later I had this phone call about the £600 - I didn't press any numbers but rang my card provider instead -it nearly caught me off the hop -

My mum keeps getting these, she’s had loads over the last week or so.
Thankfully, I have taught her well, she just puts the phone down.

My late Dad was a Police Officer in the 1950's.

I have his trusty Police whistle alongside my phone ready to blast the ears off whoever rings me with a scam.

That's why I'm so glad we've got a BT Nuisance Call Blocker telephone. They really do work, we used to get up to 10 nuisance calls a day, now for the past couple of years we haven't received any.
I also got one of these phones for my in laws, they almost got caught out once, I cannot recommend these phones enough, and no I don't work for BT.

We had one saying the taxman was after us and to press 1 That's funny seeing we just had a tax rebate.

We informed the fraud department that the police told us to contact.
