I butter both sides but trying to lose weight so only butter one side, probably put double on one slice tho!

Why would you only butter one slice? Genuine question by the way!😬 Won’t it make it dry?

I’ve never hear of buttering only one slice before.

I've never heard of only buttering one slice before! I'm in Yorkshire but from Northumberland and dh is from the Midlands and he always butters both too.

Butter both sides of bread (very, very lightly) but only one side of a roll. It depends on what I am eating though - nothing on a bacon and egg roll for example. I would rather have nothing than too much.

Edit: when I say butter I am really talking about a Flora. Do you all really use real butter?
